It's about spring and spring means "back to life" especially for me because I am weather conditioned.
E despre primavara. Iar primavara inseamna "intoarcere la viata" mai ales pentru mine, pentru ca starea mea de spirit e intotdeauna influentata de vreme.


This is a bouquet I made with the help of a friend for my cousin's wedding. I raised the pansies myself from seeds in my garden. I love watching flowers grow and spring flowers are my favorite.

Acesta e un buchet pe care cu ajutorul unei prietene l-am realizat pentru cununia civila a verisoarei mele. Imi place sa privesc cum cresc florile, iar florile de primavara sunt preferatele mele.


Notice the butterfly? Now imagine all these 200 below adorning flower arrangements for an entire wedding in ivy green and white colors. I am working on the invitations right now but you will have to wait until after the wedding in July to see them.

Observati fluturele? Acum imaginati-va toti cei 200 din poza de mai jos decorand aranjamentele florale petru o nunta intreaga in nuante de alb si verde-iedera. Lucrez chiar acum la invitatii, insa va trebui sa asteptati pana in iulie dupa nunta pentru a le vedea.

White Invitations With Just a Hint of Pink (Invitatii albe cu doar o idee de roz)

I designed these invitations in December for a spring wedding. If I got married again, I would chose these invitations, a lacy dress, soft pink ranunculus and peonies bouquet, lots of lace and vintage items, lots of white, ivory and just hints of soft pink. And let's not forget the pearls.

Am creat aceste invitatii in Decembrie pentru o nunta de primavara. Daca ar fi sa ma casatoresc din nou, as alege aceste invitatii impreuna cu o rochie din dantela, buchet din ranunculus si bujori roz-pal, multa dantela, lucruri vintage, mult alb, nunate de crem-fildes si ici-colo roz pal. Sa nu uiam perlele.

3. Wedding invitation with vellum envelope heat embossed with white bouquet of round flowers (peonies, ranunculus). Invitation pulls out of envelope by the soft pink satin ribbon.
Invitatie nunta cu plic de calc imprimat termic cu un buchet alb de flori sferice (bujori, ranunculus). Invitatia se scoate din plic tragand de o panglica de saten roz-pal.

Vintage Style Butterfly Box (Cutie in stil antic cu fluturi)

This is one of those boxes that you might have seen in a Victorian dress room.... Little black ebony table with curved legs.....

Aceasta este una din cuttile pe care ai fi putut-o vedea intr-o camera din epoca victoriana.... pe o masuta neagra din lem de abanos cu picioarele curbate...




Well, it's not that old.... I just made it yesterday at my best friend's request.
Ei, nu e chiar asa de veche! Am facut-o abia ieri :) la cererea celei mai bune prietene.

I love her! She comes to me whenever she needs a gift and she asks for a coordinated box or other gift and card (card coming soon). She already knows where all the craft shops are and she buys the plain boxes on her way to my place. Love the shape of this one!

Tare imi place de ea! De cate ori are nevoie de un cadou vine la mine sa-i fac o cutie sau alt cadou si felictare asortata (in curand si feliciatrea).
Cum stie deja unde sunt magazinele cu articole de craft, cand vine la mine se opreste si cumpara si cutiile in drum. Imi place forma acestei ultime cutii.

The pattern paper on the bottom is from the Earth Love Kit by Cosmo Cricket. While I don't like their cartoonish designs I do love this kit that is a little bit more towards elegant.
Hartia cu model este din setul Earth Love de Cosmo Cricket care imi place mai mult decat altele pentru ca inclina spre elegant.




Since Cuttlebug Be Inspired #70 challenge is using fabric I decided to show this to you. I love doing decoupage with pretty floral fabrics.

Avand in vedere ca tema concursului Cuttlebug Be Inspired #70 este folosirea textilelor, am decis sa va arat si voua cutia. Imi place sa fac decupaj cu materiale elegante cu motive florale.




The butterflies are cut and embossed with my cuttlebug. I wanted to use black butterflies but everyone in the room (we had homemade pizza day yesterday)said it looked like a mortuary box.
Looks like I have to make one for myself just the way I like it. I really like black lately. I think it's extreme elegance.

Fluturasii sunt taiati si embosati cu cuttlebug. Eu am vrut sa-i fac negri dar toata lumea din casa spunea ca pare pentru morti (ieri a fost zi de pizza facuta in casa). Se pare ca va tebi sa-mi fac eu o cutie complet neagra pentru mine. In ultimul timp imi place foarte mult negrul. Il consider de o eleganta extrema.

Invitaciones para una fiesta de Mariposas

Have I ever told you that I love foreign languages?
Today I have learned a new word in Spanish: "Mariposas" means "butterflies".

V-am spus vreodata ca imi plac limbile starine?
Azi am invatat un cuvant nou in spaniola: "Mariposas" inseamna "fluturasi".

I was looking for my traffic sources and found one of my butterfly invitations on chicade15.com.
Am gasit un nou articol despre invitatiile mele cu fluturasi in timp ce imi analizam sursele de trafic.



Here are some more butterflies I know in different languages (too bad you can't hear them pronounced):

Calla Wedding Album and Butterflies (Album Nunta Cala si Fluturasi)

This wedding album is another project from my "100 butterfly" series.
Acest album de nunta este un alt proiect din seria "100 fluturi".



The butterflies were put in the box with the album. They could be used to decorate the pages or just left there as a nice surprise for those who would open it. See this post for how they were made.
Fluturasii au fost pusi in cutia cu albumul, putand fi lipiti in jurul fotografiilor sau lasati liberi ca o surpriza pentru cei ce vor deschide cutia. Pentru detalii despre cum au fost facuti, cititi aici.


The cover (Coperta)

The cover is custom designed to match the calla lily theme of the wedding. I also added the couple's names and wedding date.
Am personalizat coperta cu tema nuntii, cala, cu numele mirilor si data nuntii.

I left the back cover plain, matching the front.
Am lasat coperta spate simpla, asortata cu cea din fata.

Both covers are custom size, made from a large sheet of bookboard and covered with printed designer paper.
Ambele coperte au o dimensiune non standard, fiind facute din carton de legatorie si acoperite cu hartie cu model.


The spine (Cotorul)

For the spine I used my favorite binding method: the Coptic Stitch. Then I decorated it with a sheer green ribbon to match the color theme.
Pentru cotor am folosit metoda mea preferata de legare: Coptic Stitch. Apoi l-am decorat cu o panglica asortata.



The pages (Paginile)

The pages inside alternate striped vellum and matching printed pages for the photos. The first page has a different design and a printed quote.
In interior paginile alterneaza foi de calc cu dungi si pagini tiparite pentru fotografii. Prima pagina are tiparit un design diferit si un citat.

The 100 Butterfly Wedding (Nunta celor 100 de fluturi)

Have you ever made 100 butterflies?
Ati facut vreodata 100 de fluturasi?



Well, I have last weekend. Not that it was my first time, but these ones really look impressive in such a number. They are now sitting on my desk ready to be shipped to their new home where they will probably adorn some wedding invitations or something else wedding related.

Eu da, weekend-ul trecut. Nu ca ar fi fost prima data, dar acestia chiar arata impresionant intr-un asemenea numar. Acum stau cu totii la mine pe birou asteptand sa fie expediati la noua lor locuinta unde probabil vor decora niste invitatii de nunta sau altceva legat de o nunta.



They are heat embossed on vellum using white embossing powder. The image is my favorite butterfly stamp and is by SU! from the Wonderful Wings set. And yes, they are all hand cut. It has been such a long time since my manicure scissors no longer do manicure but cut out images.

Fluturasii sunt realizati cu ajutorul unei stampile marca Stampin' UP! din setul Wonderful Wings folosind tehnica "heat embossing". Si da, sunt decupati cu forfecuta mea de manichiura care de mult nu a mai servit scopului pentru care a fost cumparata.
