Baby Girl Box and Frame Gift

Another of my custom designed gift sets. I really need to get a new tube of orange acrylic after this one.

It's such a gloomy weather and raining. I don't feel like saying more words.
Enjoy the bright colors.

Little Angels Vintage Frame for Baby Room

Yet another frame I made for another friend.

The frame is not actually vintage, but I made it look like vintage to match the vintage chabby-country feel of the home it was designed for.

The text is a blessing from the Bible (Gen. 48:15,16).

Flowers and Butterflies Handpainted Baby Frame

Since we are in the baby projects area, I thought it was time to show you this frame I made for little Miriam a while ago.

Her room is decorated in purple shades, so I painted the frame purple, then painted some white flowers and added 2 butterfly dimensional stickers.

I haven't seen it with a picture or hand print yet.

Detalii AICI.

So what is all about: I have been invited to donate a prize for a contest on a Romanian blog. In order to be entered you need to describe, or better yet draw how you would like this decorated. Most interesting idea wins. Of course "interesting" in my book also means good taste and color coordinate. I am not a fan of weird.

Love Birds Frame!

Smile! Says Cuttlebug Challenge Blog, because this week's challenge is Pictures.

I am also entering this project in my friend's Laura challenge over Scrapper in Romania. The theme is "Birds" and you have until June 5 to enter.

This is a frame I decorated for a friend's husband who likes birds. It was a quick project and I kept the frame its initial color for a masculine look. The branches were a little difficult to attach and my glue gun didn't do the job very well, so I enforced it with wire.

See the little nest? This is where the idea came to make Lacrimioara's wedding ring nest. I actually sent her this picture explaining how hers would be larger, painted in her wedding colors (white and silver) and filled with white feathers.

Giraffe and Mushrooms Shadow Box for Baby Prints (Rama pentru amprente bebe cu ciuperci si girafa)

giraffe and mushroom shadow box for baby prints
It's Wednesday, so time for Cuttlebug Be Inspired Challenge.
E miercuri, deci e timpul pentru Cuttlebug Be Inspired.

This week the challenge is SHADOW BOXES.
Saptamana acesta, tema e DIORAME (adica rame adanci, eventual acoperite cu sticla).

My project is designed to match the baby frame and album from 2 weeks ago.
I gave up the large red mushroom at the last moment and replaced it with the giraffe since this gift is for a baby boy and I didn't want it to look too girly.

The mushroom paper was donated by Cosmo Cricket and this particular design is one of my favorite from their "Earth Love" line.

[Edit]

The mushrooms

An Unusual Birthday Gift ( Un cadou neobisnuit)

This was one birthday gift that had to go with a user manual. Why? Because I myself didn’t know what it was until it was ready.
I had bought the styropor mushroom back in February thinking of my friend’s almost one year old daughter. The idea was to combine it with a chipboard photo frame to make a birthday gift. The actual result is not what I first had in mind. The initial frame was a big rectangle shape but something just didn’t work ok so I put the mushroom on a box and added the smaller heart shaped frame. The final result is a photo box with a mushroom and a frame where all the pictures from Sara’s first birthday can be kept.
The mushroom: styropor painted with acrylic paint. The mushroom had a hole in it so I made a little caterpilar from pottery clay to make it look like he had eaten from the mushroom.

The frame: just a plain chipboard frame painted with acrylic paint and added a strawberry image from a napkin.
The box: my husband had just bought a new cell phone and I thought the box was too nice to waste. So I covered it with white paper, added napkin decoupage with strawberries and a little acrylic paint and that was it. I left one of the sides uncovered to reveal the opening.

Frame Number 2 (Rama nr. 2)

I finally have a few minutes to show you frame no. 2.
The flowers are handmade by me, the butterfly is printed (leftover from some wedding favours), the baroque motifs are from a napkin. Flowers, pearls, butterflies... that's my signature. I feel like a princess living a dream life when I create.
I have many other projects just waiting to be photographed and sent to their new homes and many other projects waiting to be done. Hope to be back posting soon.
No Romanian translation today.

Frame Number 3 (Rama nr.3)

I know there should be a number 2 before 3, but I'll show that to you another time. This frame had to be done by tonight, so I worked on it all the evening yesterday. It was a total SUCCESS. Everyone who saw it liked it so much that I instantly got 4 more orders plus another 2 (I only charge the materials because I make them for friends). I like how it turned out too. I hope I'll have enough inspiration to make 6 more.

Sper doar sa am suficienta inspiratie pentru inca 6 modele.

Baby Hand Prints (Amprente de bebe)

Most of my friends have recently had their first babies so I started to make these frames as presents for them. The inside is going to be filled with some kind of modeling clay that will hold the baby's hand print and foot print. I'm sorry I can't show you a finished piece. I give them away like shown in the picture and the clay is in a sealed plastic bag because it air dries. I have another frame ready for a baby girl and have to make 1 more by Tuesday. Then I'll try using a different kind of frame for the same purpose.
