Invitations to Christmas Dinner at Swan Palace (Invitatie la Cina de Craciun la Palatul Lebedelor)

This year my Christmas color palette is white, silver and light blue so when I had to choose my tutorial for the 12 Days of Christmas Celebration over the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog, I immediately grabbed the 7 swans.

Anul acesta, culorile mele pentru Craciun sunt alb argintiu si albastru deschis. De aceea, cand a tebuit sa-mi aleg tema pentru numaratoarea inversa de Craciun organizata de Cuttlebug Challenge Blog am ales cele 7 lebede.


I am also doing a lot of wedding invitations with feathers in this period, so swans were the perfect choice.

In plus, in perioada aceasta lucrez la foarte multe invitatii de nunta cu pene, deci nu se putea ceva mai potrivit decat tema lebedelor.

So, on the seventh day of Christmas I made invitations to an imaginary Dinner at the Swan Palace. Remember the swan princes story? Well, she has both arms in my story :)

Asadar, in a saptea zi de Craciun, am facut invitatii la o cina de Craciun imaginara la Palatul Lebedelor (imaginar si el). Mai tineti minte povestea lebedelor? In povestea mea printesa ramane cu ambele brate :)



The centerpiece is very quick to make. Just mix some white feathers with silver snowflakes and add a candle in the middle. If you haven't been here for the Festival of Lights blog hop, here is a tutorial for the vellum lantern I used as central piece.

Aranjamentul central este foarte usor de facut. Amestecati doar niste pene albe cu fulgi de nea argintii si adaugati o lumanare alba sau argintie in mijloc. Daca nu ati fost pe-aici cu ocazia festivalului luminilor, puteti citi acum instructiunile de realizare a lanternei din calc pe care am asezat-o in centrul aranjamentului.



My central motif this Christmas is the white butterfly. I put it everywhere: on invitations, cards, Christmas decorations, walls, trinket boxes. They are so soft, delicate and elegant! So why not have a Christmas dinner invitation with a white butterfly? Why not add some white butterflies in your feathers and snowflake centerpiece.

Craciunul acesta, motivul meu decorativ central este fluturasul alb. Il gasiti peste tot: pe invitatii, felicitati, cutiute de bijuterii, pe pereti, ca decoratiune pentru brad, de ce nu amestecat cu penele din aranjamentul pe care tocmai vi l-am prezentat.

Emerald and Green Masquerade Ball Invitation (Invitatie verde smarald si auriu pentru bal mascat)

Here is one with a mask on a stick. The mask is sponged with gold and adorned with sequins.
Iata un model cu o masca pe bat. Masca e aurita si decorata cu paiete.

We even have peacocks at the ball :)

When inspiration strikes, I cannot help it but let it manipulate me. Therefore I have about 5 more designs on this Gold and Emerald Masquerade Ball theme. I haven't assembled and photographed them yet, but I will post them here as soon as I do.

How About a Masquerade? (Ce ziceti de un bal mascat?)

For those who are wondering why the status on my Yahoo Messenger, here is the reason. I am working on some new masquerade ball invitations. No, not for princess Emily again, but for her friends, princess Ana and princess Clarisa.

I can't wait to share the finished invitations with you. I really love how they came out and I also had a lovely afternoon sunlight for my photo shoot.

Pentru cei care se intreaba ce e cu statusul meu de pe Yahoo Messenger, iata motivul: tocmai lucrez la niste invitatii noi pentru 2 baluri mascate. Nu, nu pentru printesa Emily. De data aceasta sunt pentru prietenele ei, Printesa Ana si printesa Clarisa.

Abia astept sa vi le pot arata. Sunt foarte multumita de cum au iesit aceste invitatii si am avut o lumina incantatoare pentru sedinta foto de dupa-masa.

What's with me and the French, right?
Well, I have always had a weakness for Versailles and all the people who used to live there (described by Alexandre Dumas, of course!) I used to recite entire passages from The Three Musketeers.

Ce tot am eu cu francezii, nu?
Paaai... am eu o slabiciune pentru Versailles si personajele din romanele lui Alexandre Dumas. Obisnuiam sa recit pasaje intregi din "Cei trei muschetari".


French royalty novels is exactly what inspired these invitations that are finally leaving stage (my work table that is). All I can tell you for now that these are the most intricate and extravagant invitations I have ever made (took me an entire week just to design them). The picture above is just one of the many combinations I have tried.

Invitatiile al caror design tocmai l-am termiat sunt inspirate din romanele cu monarhia franceza. Acestea sunt cele mai extravagante invitatii pe care le-am facut pana acum. Doar designul mi-a luat o saptamana intreaga. Sa fie oare o avanpremiera la ce urmeaza ..? :)
