Spring Flowers Collection Wedding Invitations (Invitatii de nunta colectia "Flori de primavara")

Let's ignore the cold weather and imagine spring is already here, with those little white, purple or blue flowers bringing so much joy into our hearts. As a child I used to know in which order they sprung and wend into the woods to pick them. It was pure joy!
I designed this collection with those moments in mind.

The collection is larger, but I am starting with these 4 designs because I have had numerous requests of invitations for low budget weddings.
Making a low budget invitation is no easy task for me since I am inclined towards sophisticated looks with lots of details and high quality materials. However, this one layer card with a decorative sleeve allows for plenty of customization without making a hole in your wedding budget.

Colectia este mai mare, dar incep cu acestea 4 care prin structura lor (un card simplu si o banda decorativa) si excluzand plicul pot fi realizate la preturi mai mici decat modelele noastre obisnuite cu detalii sofisticate si materiale scumpe. Din pacate situatia economica actuala determina multe cupluri sa restanga bugetul alocat nuntii, lucru pe care il deducem si din e-mailurile voastre.

Spring Flowers and  Purple Bow. (Flori de primavara si fundita mov).
With or without the pearl, it makes a darling cute invitation with a vintage flare. This lace may not be available anymore, but I am sure we can find something to replace it with.
Cu sau fara perluta, este o invitatie draguat cu aer vintage, usor parizian.  Probabil dantela lila nu mai este disponibila pentru ca o aveam de ceva timp in sertar, dar sunt sigura ca putem gasi un inlocuitor.

Spring Flowers and Cameo. (Flori de primavara si camee).
Same floral sleeve, decorated with a pink and white cameo for a soft and delicate look. The wording is also printed in a soft pink, perfect for a romantic spring wedding.
Aceeasi teaca cu imprimeu floral, de data aceasta decorata cu o camee in nuante subtile de alb si roz pentru un aspect delicat. La fel si numele mirilor si data nuntii sunt tiparite cu un roz pal, perfect pentru o nunta romantica de primavara.

Spring Flowers and Hydrangea. (Flori de primavara si hortensii).
Hydrangea is a very popular flowers for weddings. It's large blooms make for easy and effective centerpieces as well as beautiful bouquets. Here's a simple way to carry this motif into your invitation suite.
Hortensia este o floare foarte cautata pentru nunti. Fiind o floare mare, cu doar cateva fire se pot obtine aranjamente si buchete superbe. Iata cum puteti aduce acest motiv floral si in centrul invitatiilor.

Spring Flowers, Buckle and Lace. (Flori de primavra, dantela si catarama.)
Does anyone still adopt this vintage floral style for their wedding? This year seems to be all about retro, stripes and chevron. However, staying in fashion is probably not everyone's goal.
Nu stiu daca anul acesta mai face cineva nunta in stil vintage. Moda se pare ca inclina spre retro, dungi si zig-zag. Si totusi, sunt convinsa ca nu toata lumea isi face o prioritate din a fi la moda.

Dark Purple Invitations Inspired by Ballroom Wall Painting

Hello everyone.
For those who have missed my voice, we are having some really busy weeks in the studio with orders going out daily. We have a growing team working on all kinds of loveliness.
I was going to show you what we did in the past couple of weeks when I came across a stationary set I designed just before my son was born.

The inspiration for this entire set was the wall painting of the ball room where the wedding reception was held. I immediately fell in love with the dark purples and blacks with white outlines, but the bride ended up choosing a lighter, violet shade.

After trying out several color combinations, we went with a violet-plum-silver combo with hints of black and white. I am loving the silver screen printing. The envelopes were also silver with a small rhinestone decoration.

Purple Box and Cameo Invitation

Like in every aspect of my life, it took me a while to fall for cameos, but now that it happened you may see them a lot. Here is a first design.

 I am loving the soft pink and ivory cameo combined with deep purple.

The invitation sits on a satin panel while the satin ribbon is adorned with another of my recent loves: Swarovsky crystals.

The magnetic closure box  was specially designed to be a gift itself and it can be used as jewelry box.

Purple and White Spendor. The Reception Stationery

If I loved Diana's invitations, the reception stationery brought me even more joy. I had to find a way to incorporate the crystals so I brought these lovely hand stamped chandeliers.

The menus are also table numbers and have a back pocket to hold the money envelopes.
I made different menu covers according to which table they were on: 3D numbers for the guests' table, cameos for the bride and groom table and martini glasses for the bar.

Thank you notes with Swarovski crystals.
I'm loving these. Diana wouldn't settle for something plain. She wanted me to incorporate both the crystals and the hand stamped chandeliers. This is the result.

Purple and White Splendor. The Bridal Shower Invitations

Diana is an awesome customer! She let me go crazy with her bridal shower invitations and came babysit while I was making them. We are both loving the result and I am finally ready to share these beauties with you.

 I wanted to make these different, yet keep some elements from the wedding invitations.

I added the flowers for a more delicate, feminine touch and the chandeliers and crystals to bring an extra note of elegance. The purple splatters and the unusual card shape is a drop of craziness since we are talking about a bridal shower (the last night of fun before taking over the responsibilities of a married woman).

I kept the diamond white cardstock and Diana's lovely lace, but gave it a diagonal positioning to keep with the crazy theme.

This last photo shows the true color of the invitations. The others are just how my camera likes to see the evening light in the room. I happen to love this effect so I don't always adjust the white balance.

Purple and White Splendor. The Wedding Invitations.

Celebrating purple!
This post is part of a special series dedicated to one of my favorite brides in 2011 and to my dear brother who is getting married this summer.

To everyone else who is having a purple and white celebration this year, stay tuned for a series of posts inspired by Diana's wedding.

As I am posting this image I realize how many things tie around this invitation. The brides initials are "DA". Then, looking at the shades of purple and white that I used for this design, I realize we have Diamond white paper and Amethyst crystal. Again, DA.

I  just love this coincidence stuff!
And the story goes on...

Diana had no less then 3 types of invitations. The thing they all had in common was diamond white paper, amethyst satin ribbon and purple Swarovsky Cristals.
The difference: price range.
I also used a special diamond-white lace Diana picked herself from another town. Unfortunately for other brides I don't think this lace is available anymore.

Design 1.

Custom designed pocket, tied with a purple bow and accented with an Amethyst crystal. Die cut tag for guest name attached with silver thread.

Design 2.

Added my signature boxes tied with a large satin bow, moved the lace on the inside card and complimented with a tiny bow and a small crystal on top.

Design 3.  Luxury invitations.

While I was working on Diana's design, I also had Irina's sapphire invitations in production.
So  I made a purple version and a few special guest received their invitations in these magnificent magnetic closure boxes topped with intricate jewels. The inside was padded with satin so they can also be used as trinket boxes.

On my next post I will show you my very first bridal shower invitations which were also designed at Diana's request.

Romeo and Juliet Wedding (Nunta in stil Romeo si Julieta)

Naturally, being a wedding invitation designer, I dream of weddings almost every day, each time trying to imagine places, decor, flowers, dresses, music, guests...
Today I am going to take you to Verona, to this wonderful place where Romeo and Juliet are said to have whispered love words to each other.

Azi va voi conduce la Verona, in acest loc minunat in care Romeo si Julieta isi spuneau soapte de iubire.

Don't you love this place? It would make a great painting reference too. And the local authorities are hiring it out as a wedding venue too.

That rich plum color trim looks gorgeous against the beige invitation box. Much better than this picture shows. Movul acela inchis arata superb pe cutia beige (mult ai bine decat se vede in imagine).


While I was designing this invitation my head just popped with ideas and variations so I kept layering my materials and taking quick photos to record my ideas.
This is one of the possibilities for the inside.

What's with me and the French, right?
Well, I have always had a weakness for Versailles and all the people who used to live there (described by Alexandre Dumas, of course!) I used to recite entire passages from The Three Musketeers.

Ce tot am eu cu francezii, nu?
Paaai... am eu o slabiciune pentru Versailles si personajele din romanele lui Alexandre Dumas. Obisnuiam sa recit pasaje intregi din "Cei trei muschetari".


French royalty novels is exactly what inspired these invitations that are finally leaving stage (my work table that is). All I can tell you for now that these are the most intricate and extravagant invitations I have ever made (took me an entire week just to design them). The picture above is just one of the many combinations I have tried.

Invitatiile al caror design tocmai l-am termiat sunt inspirate din romanele cu monarhia franceza. Acestea sunt cele mai extravagante invitatii pe care le-am facut pana acum. Doar designul mi-a luat o saptamana intreaga. Sa fie oare o avanpremiera la ce urmeaza ..? :)

Lady Priscila Wedding Invitation (Invitatie Lady Priscila)

Hi everyone.
Just a short post today to show you a new "lady" of my invitation collection: Pricila.

This is by far my favorite of them.

However, I've not been in a very good mood lately due to the rainy weather so I will have to let the pictures speak for me.

La noi ploua de cateva zile fara intrerupere ceea ce imi da o dispozitie foarte proasta, deci inchei aici. Sper sa ne vedem maine cu un nou proiect "Cuttlebug Be Inspired".

Lady Veronica Wedding Invitation (Invitatie Lady Veronica)

Veronica is a true lady. She is smart, elegant, good mannered and mature. She prefers simple elegance, smart clothing, minimal makeup. She is not fond of lace, organza and floral elements.

Veronica este o adevarata Lady. Este inteligenta, eleganta, manierata si matura. Prefera o eleganta simpla, se imbraca clasic, si nu exagereaza cu machiajul. Nu o pasioneaza dantelutele, volanasele, organza si motivele florale.




If you are a Veronica, this invitation is for you. It can be given away as it is or I could design a matching box. Simple envelopes are also an option.

Daca esti o Veronica, invitatia acesta este pentru tine. Poate fi inmanata asa cum este sau as putea creea cutii asortate pentru ele. O alta optiune ar fi plicuri simple mov, crem sau beige.

Lady Roza Wedding Invitation (Invitatie Lady Roza)

Here I am with the first invitation from Milady Collection. The name speaks for itself. It is also my mother-in-law's name.
Iata, dupa cum am primis, primul model din Colectia Milady. Numele vorbeste de la sine. Acesta este, de asemenea, numele soacrei mele.


I made the big rose from a piece of ribbon that was not long enough to tie a bow like those on Alexandra's invitation boxes.
Am confectionat trandafirul dintr-o bucata de panglica prea scurta pentru a lega cutiile pentru invitatiile Alexandrei.


This invitation can be given away as it is with the cuttlebugged wrap and satin rose or I could design matching boxes for it. I will develop the design further upon request. For now it's just an idea that awaits her mistress.

Caardvarks "Take A Bow": ribbon rose.

I am submitting this invitation to Caardvarks "Take A Bow" challenge. It requires to use ribbon creatively and since I really love finding beautiful ways of using my ribbon, this is just the challenge fore me.

Voi inscrie aceasta invitatie in concursul Caardvarks "Take A Bow". Concursul presupune utilizarea creativa a panglicii. Avand in vedere cat de mult imi place sa lucrez cu panglici si sa descopar intrebuintari frumoase pentru acestea, concursul mi se potriveste ca o manusa.

Milady Wedding Invitation Collection (Invitatii de nunta Colectia Milady)

Welcome to a new post from the series "A Year of Purple".
Bun venit la un nou articol din seria "Un an de mov".

This collection of elegant wedding invitations started from a purple-beige/champagne color theme for an Italian wedding.
Aceasta colectie eleganta de invitatii de nunta a pornit de la o paleta de culori mov - beige/champagne pentru o nunta din Italia.


At first, I spent one full day looking at all the materials and couldn't design one single invitation. However the next day my creativity just boomed and I managed to design about 12 different invitations.
In prima zi m-am uitat la materiale fara sa reusesc sa creez nimic. A doua zi insa creativitatea mea parca a explodat, reusind sa fac vreo 12 modele de ivitatii.


I really love this collection. They perfectly represent my style: feminine, soft and elegant. And since they are all fit for a lady, I named each of my invitations with ladies' names.
Imi place foarte mult aceasta colectie, ea reprezentatnd foarte bine stilul meu: rafinat, feminin si elegant. Si fiinda oricare din aceste invitatii s-ar potrivi unei lady, i-am pus fiecareia nume de fata.

Wedding Invitations: A Year of Purple (Invitatii de nunta: un an de mov)

This was definitely a summer of purple wedding invitations.
And I have made hundreds of them myself. Too many to show in a single post so I am starting a series of purple wedding invitation posts to show you all my purple designs.

Anul acesta a fost, fara-ndoiala un an al invitatiilor de nunta mov. Eu insami am facut cateva sute, prea multe pentu a le prezenta intr-un singur articol. Incep deci o serie de articole cu invitatii de nunta mov pe care le-am realizat vara aceasta.

Alexandra & Edward

I spent 1 month making Alexandra's invitations and another moth designing them before this.
I ended up making over 300 invitations, each in its individual box tied with a purple satin ribbon.
You may remember this post when I had already made 275 of them.

Am lucrat 1 luna la invitatiile Alexandrei si inca o lunai inainte la design.
Am facut peste 300 de bucati, fiecare in cutia ei legata cu funda de saten.


The invitations were handed in white boxes tied with purple satin ribbon in a large bow.
Invitatiile au fost inmanate in cutii albe legate cu funde mari de saten mov.



Inside the couple's picture in black and white. They hired a professional photographer for these pictures and it was sure worth it.
In interior, poza mirilor alb-negru. Au angajat un fotograf profesionist sa le faca pozele si, dupa cum vedeti, a meritat.



Their invitation was gatefold, embossed with the cuttlebug *textile* folder.
Invitatia este tip *gatefold* stantata cu modelul *textile* de la cuttlebug.



The text was printed on vellum using an elegant font to compliment Alexandra's elegant theme.
Textul a fost tiparit pe hartie de calc folosind un font elegant, asortat cu tema nuntii Alexandrei.



Her mother wanted colored photos so I made a few invitations using the color version of their photo.
Pentru invitatii mamei miresei am facut cateva invitatii cu poza color.

Yes, what you couldn't even imagine, I have just finished making. I have lots of pictures but I just can't decide which to post here and which not. The invitation is gatefold and has the couple's picture inside. Besides, I have a habit of not showing the actual invitation online until the wedding day, but let's say this is a little sneak peak with the occasion of the last week you can enter the Fantastic Folders Contest at Cuttlebug Challenge Blog.

Actually, making wedding invitations is the very reason I bought my cuttlebug for. It costs a fortune to ship such a heavy machine to Romania but it is sure worth it.


This is a wedding invitation set I am designing for an autumn wedding. Here are the 3 designs that the bride will choose from (or I will make a few of each if she can't decide), all featuring my very favorite cuttlebug folder: TEXTILE.
Acesta este un set de invitatii pentru o nunta de toamna la al carui design lucrez. Mai jos sunt 3 modele din care mireasa va alege sau, daca nu se poate decide, voi face cateva din ficare :). Pentru toate am folosit matrita mea preferata: TEXTILE.




1. Purple grapes wedding invitation.

This design is perfect for a vineyard wedding theme. It measures 13.5x13.5 cm (about 5"x5").
I embossed a narrow strip then added a satin bow and a grape I made from wire and beads. On the inside I have the wording and a little photo of the couple that holds the ribbon in place. It's the middle one in the group photo.

1. Invitatie de nunta cu ciorchine de struguri mov.
Acest design este foarte portivit pentru o nunta intr-o podgorie viticola. Masoara 13.5x13.5cm si este decorata cu o fasie stantata cu modelul TEXTILE, o funda de saten si un ciorchine realizat din margele in 2 nuante de mov insirate pe sarma aurie.

2. Gold satin rose wedding invitation in a box.
This is a gate fold invitation with the rounded "gates" embossed and sponged with gold acrylic paint. I made a huge satin rose with a pearl in the middle to embellish it hence the 2.5 cm (1") tall box that replaces the envelope. The wording is printed on vellum through which you can see the photo of the couple printed on the inside on the invitation. The box is on the left in the group photo.


2. Invitatie de nunta cu trandafir auriu din saten.
Acesta este un model de invitatie foarte elegant decorat cu un trandafir auriu confectionat din panglica de saten cu o perla alba in mijloc. O astfel de invitatie nu incape decat intr-o cutie inalta de 2.5cm (cea din stanga i poza de grup).




3. Wedding invitation with purple bow of satin.
I love this wide double sided satin ribbon very much. It really leaves no place for another embellishment and the cuttlebug Textile Folder really compliments it. It can be presented in a purple box or as it is, without any envelope. Box on the right in the group photo.

Imi place foarte mult panglica acesta de saten dublu. O simpla funda si nu mai e nevoie de nimic altceva pentru a da eleganta acestei invitatii. Poate fi prezentata ca atare sau intr-o cutie mov (dreapta in poza de grup).
