White, Silver and Feathers. Wedding Day Reveal

I have been working on this stationary set since December when Lacrimioara contacted me asking for a custom design incorporating her wedding colors and theme: silver, white, feathers.
Am lucrat la acest set din Decembrie cand Lacrimioara m-a contactat cerandu-mi un model de invitatie care sa includa culorile si tema nuntii ei: alb, argintiu, pene.

Today, is the big day of her wedding, so now I can share with you the result of our 4-month work together.
Azi e ziua cea mare a nuntii, iar eu eu va pot arata rodul a 4 lui de colaborare.

The invitations (Invitatiile)

The ring nest (Cuibul pentru verighete)

In one of our e-mail conversations Lacrimioara mentioned wanting a nest instead of a ring pillow. I immediately embraced the idea. I was already envisioning it so offered to make one for her. This was the most pleasant to make of all since it was new for me and I love experimenting new things.

In una din conversatiile noastre pe e-mail, Lacrimioara a mentionat ca ar vrea un cuib in loc de pernuta pentru verighete. Mi-a placut foarte mult ideea. Deja il vedeam inaintea ochilor, asa ca m-am oferit sa-i confectionez eu unul. Cuibul a fost cel mai placut de realizat dintre toate din moment ce era ceva nou, iar eu ador sa experimentez lucruri noi.

She only saw these when she got the box from me. We had talked about the look she was after, but since they were a last minute order, I didn't have time to consult her about the final design. However, some of my best designs occur when I am trusted to do whatever I consider more suitable.

Lacrimioara le-a vazut doar cand a ajuns cutia la ea. Discutasem despre design, dar cum era o comanda de ultim moment, nu am mai avut timp sa o consult in privinta design-ului final. Unele dintre cele mai frumoase realizari s-au nascut atunci cand mi-a fost acordata toata increderea.

The photos are last minute too, so I didn't have time for a right light setting. The menus are made from the same paper as the invitation which is white with a silver shimmer.
Si pozele sunt tot de ultim minut, deci nu a mai fost timp sa caut lumina potrivita. Haretia din care sunt facute numerele e aceeasi ca la invitatii: alba cu straluciri argintii.

Actually, making wedding invitations is the very reason I bought my cuttlebug for. It costs a fortune to ship such a heavy machine to Romania but it is sure worth it.


This is a wedding invitation set I am designing for an autumn wedding. Here are the 3 designs that the bride will choose from (or I will make a few of each if she can't decide), all featuring my very favorite cuttlebug folder: TEXTILE.
Acesta este un set de invitatii pentru o nunta de toamna la al carui design lucrez. Mai jos sunt 3 modele din care mireasa va alege sau, daca nu se poate decide, voi face cateva din ficare :). Pentru toate am folosit matrita mea preferata: TEXTILE.




1. Purple grapes wedding invitation.

This design is perfect for a vineyard wedding theme. It measures 13.5x13.5 cm (about 5"x5").
I embossed a narrow strip then added a satin bow and a grape I made from wire and beads. On the inside I have the wording and a little photo of the couple that holds the ribbon in place. It's the middle one in the group photo.

1. Invitatie de nunta cu ciorchine de struguri mov.
Acest design este foarte portivit pentru o nunta intr-o podgorie viticola. Masoara 13.5x13.5cm si este decorata cu o fasie stantata cu modelul TEXTILE, o funda de saten si un ciorchine realizat din margele in 2 nuante de mov insirate pe sarma aurie.

2. Gold satin rose wedding invitation in a box.
This is a gate fold invitation with the rounded "gates" embossed and sponged with gold acrylic paint. I made a huge satin rose with a pearl in the middle to embellish it hence the 2.5 cm (1") tall box that replaces the envelope. The wording is printed on vellum through which you can see the photo of the couple printed on the inside on the invitation. The box is on the left in the group photo.


2. Invitatie de nunta cu trandafir auriu din saten.
Acesta este un model de invitatie foarte elegant decorat cu un trandafir auriu confectionat din panglica de saten cu o perla alba in mijloc. O astfel de invitatie nu incape decat intr-o cutie inalta de 2.5cm (cea din stanga i poza de grup).




3. Wedding invitation with purple bow of satin.
I love this wide double sided satin ribbon very much. It really leaves no place for another embellishment and the cuttlebug Textile Folder really compliments it. It can be presented in a purple box or as it is, without any envelope. Box on the right in the group photo.

1. Invitatie de nunta cu funda mov din saten.
Imi place foarte mult panglica acesta de saten dublu. O simpla funda si nu mai e nevoie de nimic altceva pentru a da eleganta acestei invitatii. Poate fi prezentata ca atare sau intr-o cutie mov (dreapta in poza de grup).

Table Number with Painted Flowers - Be Inspired #27 (Numar masa cu flori pictate)

I am currently designing some wedding invitations with these watercolor flowers as central element. They grow in my garden during the summer till late autumn.

Momentan lucrez la niste invitatii de nunta care au in centru aceste flori pictate in acuarela. Nu stiu cum se numesc florile, dar cresc la mine in gradina de vara pana toamna tarziu.

So while I was thinking of something to do with numbers for the Be Inspired #27 challenge at the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog this idea came to me: TABLE "NUMBERS"

Asadar, in timp ce ma gandeam la ce as putea face pentru Be Inspired #27 de la Cuttlebug Challenge Blog mi-a venit ideea aceasta:" NUMERE" PENTRU MASA.

Although it can't be seen in the picture, the flowers have hand painted accents. Imagine painting all the invitations for a wedding. Well, wish me luck: I am doing the save the dates in the weekend and I am going to love it :)

Desi nu se vede in imagine, florile au accente pictate maual. Imaginati-va facand asta pentru un intreg set de invitatii. Puteti sa-mi urati deja spor la lucru pentru ca in weekend voi picta rezevarile de data :)

Soft and Elegant Gold and Cream Wedding Set (Set invitatii de nunta subtil si elegant crem si auriu)

One of my colleagues from university is getting married this summer and she asked me to design her wedding invitations. She has always been so elegant so it was quite easy to picture her style when she told me she wanted vellum, cream and gold.

Here is what I designed for her:
#1. Single panel wedding invitation + vellum envelope
#2. Table numbers
#3. Wedding favors.

Una dintre colegele mele de facultate se casatoreste vara aceasta si m-a rugat s-o ajut cu invitatiile. Nu mi-a fost deloc greu sa inteleg ce vrea sa spuna prin: "folie transparenta, simplu, crem si auriu" pentru ca ea a fost intotdeauna delicata si eleganta si cred ca invitatiile acestea chiar o reprezinta.

Setul contine:
#1. Invitatie simpla + plic facut manual din hartie de calc
#2. Numere pentru mese
#3. Cutiute pentru bomboane (asa-numitele "marturii").



I made this wedding set on behalf of the CUTTLEBUG CHALLENGE BLOG for the Cuttlebug Be Inspired #14 which was to use our favorite folder.
My favorite folder is and I think will always be Cuttlebug Textile Folder. I wonder if Provo Craft can beat this up with a more elegant one.

Am facut setul acesta si in calitate de membru al echipei de la CUTTLEBUG CHALLENGE BLOG unde tema de saptamana trecuta era sa folosim sablonul nostru preferat. Sablonul meu preferat se numeste Cuttlebug Textile Folder si nu cred ca cei de la Provo Craft vor scoate pe piata foarte curand unul mai elegant decat acesta.


For the invitation I embossed just the top and bottom of my card stock (after I printed it). The border gives it just the elegant touch required without overwhelming the design. Pentru invitatii am stantat doar cate o margine sus si una jos ceea ce confera eleganta fara sa incarce prea mult design-ul.

I did the same with the table numbers only the numbers are hand painted with golden acrylic glaze. I applied the same golden glaze to the raised surface of the embossing. Am procedat la fel si cu numerele meselor, doar ca acestea sunt pictate manual cu un lac auriu, lac pe care l-am folosit si pentru a scoate in evidenta eleganta modelului stantat.

I could not decide which favor box to keep from my many ideas so I chose to show you 2 of them. One is embossed with the Textile Folder and the other has the flower motif from Stampin' Up! Happy Harmony stamp set. Thank you, Bev for these beautiful stamps! Nu m-am putut decide pentru o singura marturie asa ca am ales sa va prezint 2 din cele cateva pe care le-am creat: una are stantat acelasi model ca si cel de pe invitatii si numerele meselor, iar cealalta imprumuta motivul floral de la plicurile invitatiilor. Acesta din urma este obtinut cu ajutorul unei stampile impreuna cu o cerneala si un praf special care prin topire creeaza efectul de relief.
