These are the words that described the card that my friend wanted to give her husband for his birthday. I don't suppose I have to tell you how difficult it was to come up with a man card.
The first thing I did was research (looking around other blogs that is). I found my inspiration
here and I chose to do the same layout with the materials I had.
I took a geography book and tore a map from it, then I tore a page from a music book (Gabriel is a musician). These were my patterned papers. The rest of materials were all chosen to fit my color scheme and theme. This is the card that I came up with after a day of experimenting and changing.
I love this vintage style very much, but I am not sure it fits my cardmaking style. When I look at Ingvild's original card I can see how far I am from it. Besides, I don't have the kind of materials she has. Anyway, all in all it was a very nice experience to play vintage.

Oh my, Meda, this is gorgeous!!! The detail is amazing!
This is such a beautiful card! Masculine cards are so hard to make--I find I have to stop embellishing way before I think it's done. Otherwise it ends up covered with ribbons, buttons, and flowers!
