How about a challenge?

Wow! This wedding week over the Cuttlebug Challenge blog has really gotten my creative juices flowing.

I have so many ideas and so little time!

I was thinking I could host a wedding challenge every 2 weeks. I'd really like to see what you could create starting from an inspiration photo.

The image above is my favorite from Monica's wedding (I'll have more pictures for you another time). It was a vintage romantic theme wedding and Monica was a darling to work with. If you look closely you can see the menus and place cards I designed.

On to the challenge:
All you have to do is create something wedding related inspired by this image, upload to your blog or public gallery and post a direct link here by July 1. Please don't post a link to your blog homepage or directly to an image. I will delete those, but you can come back and add them correctly.

Your creation can be anything handmade (inviations, scrap books, favors, flowers, jewelery, you name it!) Sorry, no pure digital but you can do hybrid.

I'd like to hear what you think about this challenge. I'll consider this a test challenge and see if anyone is interested in playing. Then I will decide to continue or not.

Thank you so much!

Wedding Affaire Day 3

Parisian Chic Guestbook

It's day 3 of the Wedding Affaire at the Cuttlebug Challenge blog.
I had a very long day finishing an invitation order, beginning another, purchasing supplies, and designing some more.

I also had my internet connection down for several hours so although I am extremely tired I had to stop by the blog and show you my new additions to the Parisian Chic Collection.

The image above shows the guestbook I have designed for the event. As usual, featuring my coptic stitch and my new favorite flower die from cuttlebug: "Dandelion"

Then the necklace. How versatile is a pearl necklace. You can just add a flower or butterfly brooch and.... voila! change of looks. I made mine to match the event theme and colors and I must say I am loving this collection more and more. My sketchbook is full of ideas for more items.

Another hair pin. Oh, I love making these and they look so good in my hair. Too bad I can't photograph myself :) Of course, they won't resist water, but how about making them from fabric. I must try that one day.

I am not sure if I will have time for another post soon, but do follow the Cuttlebug Challenge blog for the rest of the week. The design team has some incredible ideas to share.
